Keith has also been busy bringing art to NC Public Schools through the Artists in the Schools program from the United Arts Council. Keith was awarded the Regional Artist Project Grant from the United Arts Council in 2003 and 2020, has painted murals at York Elementary in Raleigh, NC and at Albany Medical Center in Albany, NY. His work has been shown in Columbia, MO, Vail, CO, San Diego, CA, Greensboro, NC, Miami, FL and NYC. His work was featured on Raleigh City Buses, on the T-Shirt for the SPCA K9-3K Dogwalk and in the book "100 Southern Artists".
Keith’s body of work combines abstract elements, stream of consciousness, pop art and comic book influences, and anthropomorphic animals with reoccurring characters and situations.
Humorous and whimsical with a satirical bent to a lot of the pieces, he works with layers of acrylic and oil paint to build up the surface of each painting. Keith aims to explore modern life with a simplified approach to the picture plane that explores the universal through personal symbols.
Keith's work is represented in Washington DC at Zenith Gallery.
